The stdrt.exe process is also known as the Windows Media Center Diagnostic Application or Media Dashboard or Media Center and it is owned by the Microsoft Corporation. The file proves to have very few descriptions and contains no visible window. It comes from an unknown file within the Windows folder and it is not a Windows system file. It can record inputs. The technical security rating of the program is 71% dangerous, making it a high risk for potential threats on the user’s computer system. Sometimes the process is reported to be an adware function (or any kind of virus) and it significantly slows down the user’s computer system. It is advisable for the user to scan the virus immediately and remove it from the computer system.
