The process starter.exe belongs to the Ensoniq Mixer application which has been developed by Creative Labs. Starter.exe launches the other programs which can be found in the Ensoniq Mixer application. It enables the user to manage the control window, the functions and the features of the application. These characteristics are all integrated in the Ensoniq Mixer application and so they are all installed in the system along with the application. Once the user executes the starter.exe process, the mixer application takes over and changes the Windows audio volume control. The user can configure the levels of the volume of the audio inputs and outputs of the soundcard through the icon displayed in the taskbar. The starter.exe file needs to be executed in order for the Ensoniq Mixer application to run in the background. Both the starter.exe file and the mixer application bring additional features to the standard multimedia control of the computer of the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. starter.exe. is used by Creative Labs Ensoniq Mixer, If you shut down starter.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop starter.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Creative Labs Ensoniq Mixer, from your system.
