What is  ssrc.exe

The process file called ssrc.exe is a process that is also known as SupportSoft RemoteAssist process which belongs to the software called SupportSoft Assisted software. This software is owned by Supportsoft. This process can be usually found in the C: directory and under the program files folders then inside the common files. This program if installed starts during the start up of the operating system and can be stop in the control panel or by third party software. This process is a Verisign signed file which means that this process belongs to the trusted company of the Microsoft Window Operating System and has been digitally signed by the author. Ssrc.exe does not belong to the windows core system file and this process do not have any visible window for the user to configure the settings. This program has the capability to record inputs and manipulate the application software. However the user may have the option to remove the process by removing the whole software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ssrc.exe. is used by SupportSoft, If you shut down ssrc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
