What is  sshd.exe

The software OpenSSH for Windows and the Cygwin OpenSSH Secure Shell Daemon software contain the sshd.exe file. Cygwin OpenSSH Secure Shell Daemon uses the sshd.exe file to be able to provide encrypted and secure shell all over the Internet. OpenSSH for Windows, on the other hand, is responsible for installing a little of the OpenSSH server and client utilities in the Cygwin program and does not require full Cygwin installation. Full SSH/SCP/SFTP support is present in OpenSSH for Windows. The user will expect that the SSH terminal support still has the common Windows Command prompt and the Unix/Cygwin-style paths for SCP and SFTP. The sshd.exe file allows the user to transfer information that is encrypted over the network to prevent threats from attacking the computer system. Going online makes the computer prone to security attacks and the SSH encryption technology tries to solve this problem. The sshd.exe file is part of the software that manages a system wherein SSH encryption is installed.
