What is  ssdmonitor.exe

The sSDMonitor.exe process is the executable file for SSD Monitor located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\PC Tools\sMonitor\SSDMonitor.exe, and can also be run when the user logs in to the Windows. SSD Monitor is the software for keeping track of an SSD status. An SSD is an alternative to the traditional hard drive which uses non-volatile memory in storing data. These magnetic hard drives do not consume external power sources and instead use a flash memory chip over a spinning magnetic head in reading and writing data. SSD Monitors track and record the performances of SSDs’ various components from read and written data via a built-in CPU that allows faster data processing compared to hard disks. SSD Monitors include on-board battery, memory bus and a non-volatile memory tool in the form of EEPROM or DRAM. SSD’s monitoring applications keep track of user’s component access rates, the error prevalence across components and processing statistics of SSD.
