The Spider Solitaire game is played by setting a goal to move all cards on the table in the purpose of assembling them on the tableau prior to removing them. Firstly, 54 cards are placed in ten piles to the tableau and are face down except the top cards. Then the piles build down according to rank, moved together in suit sequences. The remaining 50 cards are dealt to the tableau by ten cards at a time if the piles are not empty. The Spider Solitaire variants are: • Gigantic Spider – four-decker • Relaxed Spider – does not require filling all spaces before redealing • Spiderwort – three decker • Spiderette – single pack • Will o' the Wisp – a version of solitaire, played in similar way as Spiderette, but 21 cards are dealt to 7 columns of 3, each top card of columns facing up.
