The slagent.exe process is an executable and Windows file, and one of the essential components of the SLAgent Module for the application DesktopAuthority, or otherwise known as Shelby SOAP Install, which is a product created by ScriptLogic Software. Along with MSI Studio, Password Self-Service, Patch Authority Ultimate, and Privilege Authority, DesktopAuthority is a program that belongs to the Desktop Management application. Among the benefits DesktopAuthority provides include the customization of the user environment, web-based and centralized management by administrators, the tracking and control of computer programs, and the removal of Log-in Scripting. The slagent.exe file is included on the components of DesktopAuthority that enable all those functions to work. Therefore, the slagent.exe file process is an important content of the program, and must be retained within the system to make the entire DesktopAuthority from the Desktop Management fully functional. The file, slagent.exe, is usually hidden in the folder C:\Windows\system32, with more than 12 variants of file size. This program, including the file slagent.exe, is compatible with Windows OS, such as, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. slagent.exe. is used by DesktopAuthority, If you shut down slagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop slagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is DesktopAuthority, from your system.
