The siw.exe is also known as the System Information for Windows and is owned by Gabriel Topala or the Topala Software Solutions. The siw.exe process is an advanced System Information tool that analyzes a user’s computer and collects elaborate information about settings and system properties and displays it in an easy to understand manner. It can create a report file (HTML, TXT, XML or CSV) and it is capable of running in batch mode (can be required for Asset Inventory, Security Audit, PC Software and Hardware Inventory, Server Configuration Management and Software License Management). The application is not visible and it is not a Windows core file. It is capable of recording inputs and monitoring applications. The technical security rating of the program is 18% dangerous, so it is considered to be safe by the users. It can be uninstalled from the Windows Control Panel should the user encounter some difficulties with it.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. siw.exe. is used by System Information, If you shut down siw.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop siw.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is System Information, from your system.
