SiteRanker software contains a siteranktray.exe file in its programming. It has been developed by Crawler. The siteranktray.exe file launches the SiteRanker software and as long as it runs in the background, the user can be able to call on the functionalities the software possesses. The software has features which the user may find helpful when engaged in Web browsing activities. SiteRanker provides the user with ratings and reviews made for a specific website while the user is currently browsing the Web. The user is allowed to post his or her rating and review about another website. This review will help other users to shun from suspicious websites or to view recommendations on where to purchase a product or to avail a service which will satisfy them. Generally, SiteRanker monitors the rankings of a website. Once the siteranktray.exe file keeps on running in the system, it will use a portion of the resources of the computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. siteranktray.exe. is used by SiteRanker, If you shut down siteranktray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
