The silentMonitorService.exe process is an executable file that opens the application Cisco CTIOS Silent Monitor developed by Cisco Systems. CTIOS stands for Computer Telephony Integration Object Server. A silent monitoring service is a service used by call center managers and supervisors in order to check that company protocol and ethical standards are being followed. Call center agents usually inform callers that the conversation may be recorded for quality assurance purposes. However, the agents are themselves unaware if they are indeed being monitored. Silent monitoring is useful in training sessions to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the call center agents. A silent monitoring service may also be used by parents or supervisors to track the Internet activities of children, prison inmates or users of public Internet and prevent them from accessing prohibited websites. SilentMonitorService.exe file is not an essential Windows system file.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. silentmonitorservice.exe. is used by Cisco CTIOS Silent Monitor, If you shut down silentmonitorservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop silentmonitorservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Cisco CTIOS Silent Monitor, from your system.
