The shieldworker.exe process is also known as ShieldWorker.exe which belongs to the software called Mil Shield. It is also used as a Web browser upgrade for Internet Explorer. This process is an executable file that supports the application of system shields in the computer. One example of this is Office Shield, which is widely used by companies as a superior employee monitoring software that limits, filters, blocks and logs the Internet activities performed by employees in client systems as well as their computer usage. This in return increases the productivity of the workforce and also eliminates certain security risks by managing a monitoring system for the network. This can also motivate employees to be focused on their tasks by removing many distractions that are associated with the Internet.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. shieldworker.exe. is used by Mil Shield and OfficeShield, If you shut down shieldworker.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
