The sharptray.exe process is an executable file which is otherwise known as the SharpTray Module or the Sharpdesk. An executable file may be used for the graphical user interface function of the PC. This program file belongs to a software also named Sharpdesk or the Desktop Document Manager or the SharpTray Module by the SHARP Corporation. This process is a user invoked type of program and is normally a part of any PC operation. This file is located under the Drive C of program files. It can operate in all of the Windows operating system versions. Problems may occur with this executable file when its associated dll file has been accidentally deleted from the user’s system. Outdated drivers may also cause similar errors to the computer system. The size of this file is usually 1 MB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sharptray.exe. is used by SharpTray Module or Desktop Document Manager, If you shut down sharptray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sharptray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SharpTray Module or Desktop Document Manager, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as SharpTray Module or Desktop Document Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
