The process setupv.exe is an executable file that is part of the software Project 1 or Spy Sweeper from Webroot. The setupv.exe process carries instructions of Spy Sweeper in order to be read through the user computer. Spy Sweeper is an antivirus security program that completes protection of PC and Mac against spyware threats. It secures user data files by examining them on the hard disk drive, on the operating system memory, Windows registry and cookies. Once any suspicious object is detected, it automatically quarantines the files. The Spy Sweeper application is also has a real-time monitoring for incoming threats. The program also scans other spywares such as Trojans, Keyloggers, infected cookies and rootkits that are dangerous for user PC and Mac. It also contains an Identity Shield for securing personal information while users shop and bank online. For browsing purposes, it detects unsafe links and search results as well. It continually updates itself without required reboots.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. setupv.exe. is used by Spy Sweeper , If you shut down setupv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
