What is  secpro.exe

The file secpro.exe is known as O&O defrag, a Windows defragmentation utility from O&O Software Gmbh. The features of the application include checking the volume for errors before defragmenting, flexibility in the scheduling of the defragmentation time such as when the PC is idle, capability to run the program in the background so the user can continue with his normal activities, and the capability to run in the screensaver mode. Defragmentation is a process used in the maintenance of file systems to reduce the amount of fragmentation. File system fragmentation, also called file aging, is the inability of the file system to lay out related data continuously and sequentially. This is common in storage-backed file systems that allow in-place content modifications that result to an increase in disk head movements that can hinder the average rate of successful message delivery over a communication channel. Defragmentation process corrects this situation by reorganizing files and freeing space back into contiguous areas.
