They are not required to understand or manage encryption keys and passwords. To enable end users to create and use sealed documents and emails within existing desktop applications, the Oracle IRM Desktop client software must be installed. The Desktop application authenticates users and transparently request rights from the Oracle IRM Server. The Oracle IRM Desktop while continuing to track and protect sealed documents and emails that are in use within those applications supports current and previous versions of all standard desktop document and email applications.
