Some user reports claimed the scvshosts.exe process, which is an executable file, is a malicious program that intends to fool the user into thinking that it is a legitimate copy of the svchost.exe system process, in order to penetrate the system and remain unnoticed while it runs in the background during system runtime. The scvshosts.exe process has also been reported to be capable of initializing during system startup due to the keys and entries it can create and inject into the Windows System Registry. The scvshosts.exe process, according to some users, is capable of searching for vulnerable backdoor ports in order to exploit open TCP/IP ports and download other malicious programs from the Web servers of its authors. These malicious programs have been reported to be implemented with functionalities for gathering data and Internet browsing information from the default Web browser. These pieces of data are then transmitted to those predesignated Web servers by the scvshosts.exe process, as reported by a few users.
