What is  scomc.exe

The process scomc.exe can be found in the software Lumension Device Control and Sanctuary Client which has been developed by Lumension Security and Secure Wave SA. In the Lumension Device Control software, scomc.exe enables the software to manage the removable storage devices attached to the computer and provides information on the risk caused by data transfers. It also builds a defensive wall against malware especially those coming from removable storage devices. In the Sanctuary Client software, scomc.exe enables the software to set policies to control all devices attached to the computer and to assign permissions on the level of access to specific application for every user. Overall, the scomc.exe file is responsible in activating the functionalities that the device control software possesses. The EXE file enables the user to secure his or her personal data especially those originating from removable devices like the USB drive. It even prevents unauthorized access to these data.
