The schsvr.exe file is an executable component process included with the other DLL files, system drivers and program files that are required by the WinDVD Recorder software, which is a program for Windows-based systems that is classified as a video stream recording application from InterVideo. The schsvr.exe process is packaged with the installer distributions of the InterVideo WinDVD Recorder software, and this also means the schsvr.exe process is installed in the system upon the installation of the InterVideo WinDVD Recorder program. The schsvr.exe process is specifically implemented as one of the components of the Intervideo Schedule Server module, which is an applet built into the InterVideo WinDVD Recorder software for integrating scheduling functionalities into the recording operations of this program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. schsvr.exe. is used by InterVideo WinDVD Recorder, If you shut down schsvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop schsvr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is InterVideo WinDVD Recorder, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as InterVideo WinDVD Recorder, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
