The schedlgu.txt process is an executable file that is technically referred to as the log file of the Windows Task Scheduler, which is a part of the utilities and tools of Microsoft Windows operating system. The application Task Scheduler is one of the important components of Microsoft Windows, as its main function is to schedule the launch of various programs and scripts at pre-defined or specified times. It works through tasks (actions taken as a response to triggers) management. As part of the Task Scheduler, the file schedlgu.txt is maintained by the Scheduled Tasks, and is found in the folder C:\Windows. A user is able to view the log from the window of the Scheduled Tasks by simply clicking the “View Log” button, which is located on the Advanced Menu of the application. The size of the file schedlgu.txt is 32 kilobytes, but if it reaches the required maximum size, the process automatically records new info during the log file, and writes over the old or previous log file information.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. schedlgu.txt. is used by Task Scheduler, If you shut down schedlgu.txt, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop schedlgu.txt, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Task Scheduler, from your system.
