The sbclientmanager.exe process is the executable file for Safeboot Client Manager, also with descriptive name McAfee Endpoint Encryption Client Manager. SafeBoot was among the leading providers of the encryption software designed to protect stored information in laptops, computers, and handheld devices. Sbclientmanager.exe was also commonly called SbClientManager and among the product versions of the SafeBoot Security System belonging to SafeBoot International. SafeBoot provided security solutions for mobile data, devices, and over networks from vulnerabilities against risks associated with loss, data theft, and/or unauthorized access. Throughout the acquisition, the McAfee Endpoint Encryption became the sole vendor to deliver network, endpoint, email, Web and data security, among risk and compliance data solutions. McAfee continues to develop encryption and network access management software specifically for PCs, laptops, removable drives among other portable devices. McAfee’s network software allows administrators encryption of files and folders in the local hard disk as well as file servers. Its range of software has Web-based management interface enables policy management, and remote updates and upgrades, and scripting tools.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sbclientmanager.exe. is used by McAfee SafeBoot, If you shut down sbclientmanager.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sbclientmanager.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is McAfee SafeBoot, from your system.
