What is salm.exe
The process salm.exe is an executable file that is known as Search Assistant and owned by Uninstall software version 180search Assistant or Search Assistant by 180solutions. 180solutions was the old name for the Zango Company behind this software. It has been providing users with access to gaming utilities, tools for videos and audios, and other media accesses. The company is aimed at providing security to information of users when they use the software. Although there are reported issues with the process malfunctioning, the software has not failed to be of use in running many applications on the computer. The process is normally found on the “C:\ - e.g. C:\temp\” subfolder with file size of 309,760 bytes on Windows 7 and Windows XP computers. This process can automatically run along with every boot up process of the Windows computer. The process can also be uninstalled if seen to be a threat to the security of the user’s computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. salm.exe. is used by Search Assistant, If you shut down salm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
