Sagent2.exe is included in the EPSON Printer Status Agent software that is included in the EPSON Printer driver package. The EXE file is related to the EPSON Bidirectional Printer. Upon installing the EPSON inkjet printer driver, the sagent2.exe file launches upon computer initialization. It is responsible in checking if the setting of the printer port is ECP or EPP. It provides an option in the EPSON printer software after checking the status of the printer port. The EXE file allows bidirectional printing and multiple line validation. Fonts can also be selected to add versatility in printing. If it is applicable, the EXE file can detect and configure the EPSON Printer Port. If the user has an EPSON Stylus printer, the sagent2.exe is necessary for the printer to work properly. Sagent2.exe also monitors the status of ink cartridges. Most of the latest versions of the programs that belongs to the EPSON printer drivers and utilities contain the sagent2.exe process.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sagent2.exe. is used by EPSON Printer Status Agent, If you shut down sagent2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sagent2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is EPSON Printer Status Agent, from your system.
