The process runner.exe is file that belongs to the application Terminal Tetris from an unknown source. Terminal is a component of Mac OS X operating system. Terminal (officially called Terminal app) is an emulator that works off most UNIX-based system, which has a graphical user interface that is text based. This means that all the commands have to be typed in. The three basic commands in the Terminal apps are Is that lists the contents of a particular directory, cd that means change to another directory, and sudo that is used to authenticate the user as a super-user to gain extra security privileges. In addition to the many applications and possibilities in Terminal, there are hidden features like the process runner.exe that enables the user to play Tetris in terminal. Tetris is a tile matching video game involving different configurations of blocks falling down. The arrow keys in the keyboard are used to control the blocks.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. runner.exe. is used by Terminal Tetris, If you shut down runner.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
