Research in Motion (RIM) Limited has developed a software named Desktop Tools for RIM Handhelds. RIM handheld devices are advanced communication tools which professionals can use to send and receive email messages wherever they are. These devices consist of wireless technology to provide access to simple and mobile communications. The process rimautoupdate.exe is responsible for automatically updating the processes used by RIM Handhelds. The process file can also be seen as Blackberry Syncing Software. RIM is responsible in manufacturing the acclaimed Blackberry products. Rimautoupdate.exe sets the mobile access to email accounts, applications, among others. The EXE file allows a Blackberry device to provide a virtual real-time communication by which the user can stay in touch with other people and with other significant information. Rimautoupdate.exe launches the software Desktop Tools for RIM Handhelds. The EXE file can be used to display the functionalities from which the user can choose and call on when it is necessary.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. rimautoupdate.exe. is used by Desktop Tools for RIM Handhelds , If you shut down rimautoupdate.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
