The process installed through rdvchg.exe is essential if you are connecting to the Internet through a USB modem. The software installs the necessary files to read USB-supported portable broadband modems, specifically those from C-Motech. The associated software for the file is the installer for Sprint SmartView. The file enables the proper mounting and dismounting of the USB modem, and runs compatible mobile modems so users can access the Internet without trouble. The file is not an essential Windows system process, and this means that enabling or disabling the file is up to the user. But since it is necessary to run a USB modem, enabling it before mounting the modem onto the computer is recommended. The file is installed in the following path, as C:\Program Files\Sprint\Sprint SmartView\ rdvchg.exe. When the file is corrupted, error messages displayed are usually prompts that the system did not find the file rdvchg.exe, or DLL registration failed for rdvchg.exe.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. rdvchg.exe. is used by Sprint SmartView, If you shut down rdvchg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
