What is  qpcapsvc.exe

The file qpcapsvc.exe is a part of the CyberLink software QuickPlay SlingPlayer. This application combines the functionalities of QuickPlay by Hewlett Packard and SlingPlayer, which has an on-screen remote control that is used to rewind, pause, and fast-forward a show. SlingPlayer broadcasts live stream TV in 1080i HD, with a higher definition than most cable TV providers, and the bandwidth is higher than the cable standard of 780p. QuickPlay allows a user to play videos and multimedia files on a computer without having to boot the computer to the main operating system. Some HP notebooks have the QuickPlay buttons installed on the keyboard to launch the application when they are pressed. QuickPLay SlingPlayer combines the straightforward functionality of Quickplay with the portability of SlingPlayer to enable users to watch TV from the computer or portable devices such as laptops and mobile-based PDAs and smartphones. Sling Media uses the term placeshifting to describe the redirection of the television feed to the mobile device or notebook.
