Power Manager is the most common process that is related to the executable file pwmdbsvc.exe. This process may be installed by Lenovo or IBM ThinkPad. The actual function of the process has something to do with management of power sources of the machines. Most users actually have no inkling about the file until they find it negatively affecting the system. What some users do know, and are actually quite certain of, is that the file came pre-installed on their Lenovo or IBM machines. The file does not appear to be a critical component of the machine or the system, which means that if the user deems it necessary to disable the file; it can be safely disabled without posing any risk to system performance or application functions. The file is launched as a Windows service, and can be found in the following directory: C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\Utilities\pwmdbsvc.exe. It is executed through the Windows file, explorer.exe.
