The psmon.exe file is an EXE application resource process bundled with other executable program files, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) resources, certain SYS driver files, particular background process items and various associated components that are used and referenced by the PS Monitor software suite. These are Windows programs classified as document output device network monitoring, auditing and management tools designed by ImagineIT Software with features for locally and remotely accessing document output devices that are connected to the network, organizing document output files from network devices and managing inventories or sales information among other pieces of data. The psmon.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the PS Monitor software, which also means the psmon.exe process is deployed in the installer distribution packages of the PS Monitor program. The psmon.exe process is specifically implemented as the executable program dispatcher file of the PS Monitor software, which means users can activate the psmon.exe file to load the PS Monitor application unto the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. psmon.exe. is used by ImagineIT Software PS Monitor, If you shut down psmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop psmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ImagineIT Software PS Monitor, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
