The process psctrls.exe, known as Panda Software Controller, belongs to software Panda Internet Security, which is a comprehensive security solution designed to keep all types of malware from the Internet. This security application features a Firewall and Antivirus, anti-spam and identity protection, parental control, home network manager, multimedia gaming mode, backup and restore, remote PC access, and Panda safe browser with sandboxing. The scan option allows users to select quick, full, or custom scans, or use the ActiveScan Cleaner that removes malware currently active on the computer. This application can install the USB vaccine, which is a tool that blocks infections propagating though autorun.inf on USB drives. The Safe browser is a virtualized browser that allows users to conduct securely sensitive financial operations online. It is not integrated in the Panda Internet Security but must be downloaded and installed in the system. The Safe browser is free download that requires VirtualBox in order to function.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. psctrls.exe. is used by Panda Internet Security, If you shut down psctrls.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop psctrls.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Panda Internet Security, from your system.
