What is profiler.exe
The file profiler.exe is the configuration software from Saitek that launches the Profiler from the System Tray icon for game controller configuration. Saitek is the manufacturer of consumer electronics that is best known for their mice, keyboards, and gaming controllers. The game controller is a device used with entertainment consoles and PCs to provide input into a video game, particularly controlling an object or character in the game. It can be a wireless controller, or connected to the game console or PC by means of a cord. Game controllers include input devices such as the mice, keyboard, and special purpose devices such as steering wheels, game pads and joysticks. The System Tray icon that is launched by the executable file profiler.exe is installed from the software that installs joysticks from Saitek. The icon enables the user to configure the joystick for gaming. This is necessary with systems supported by Windows 95 and 98. If the system support is Windows Millennium Edition or later, this task can be disabled and Windows can do the configuration of the joystick.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. profiler.exe. is used by Profiler, If you shut down profiler.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop profiler.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Profiler, from your system.
