What is  postbuild.exe

The postbuild.exe process is the executable file for Xenocode Postbuild, currently named as Spoon. It is a set of products software and services that were developed by Code Systems Corporation that features virtualization, digital distribution, and portable program creation. The program includes Spoon Server, Spoon Studio, and the Spoon website that are used for packaging conventional program applications for Windows in portable format and delivered through a single stream over the Web. Spoon Virtual Application Studio emulates the features of the operating system necessary for running the applications to minimize resource overhead. The virtualized portable applications independently run alongside other software, thus conflicts are prevented. The Spoon Virtual Desktop Server allows the software that is packaged with the Spoon Studio be deployed through the Web. Through the Spoon utility, the user is able to load and use applications like MS Word and Adobe Photoshop without installing them. These include graphic editing tools, browsers, media players, social apps, games, among other useful tools.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. postbuild.exe. is used by Xenocode or Spoon, If you shut down postbuild.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop postbuild.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Xenocode or Spoon, from your system.
