The file popup.exe is part of the software for Dell SAS Raid. It serves as a pop-up blocker for IE on Windows systems. It can be found in the following path: C:\Program Files\Dell SAS Raid Storage Manager\MegaPopup\ popup.exe. It is not an essential component of Windows system, and can be disabled to prevent it from running in the background. The file has not been known to take up CPU memory, and it also has not been associated with any type of malicious attack on the system; thereby rending it as safe to have in the system. Users who surf the Internet with a Web browser that is not Internet Explorer, disable the file, although it was found that the file does not affect the system even as it runs in the background, so running it or disabling it is entirely up to user discretion.
