The file phsvc.exe with description Proxy Host: Host Server application is a process file from Proxy Host that belongs to product Funk Software. In this application, the proxy host is the proxy server and proxy refers to the program that performs the task on behalf of another program in the computer. Funk Software Proxy Host is a remote control program that allows users to fully view and operate any PC on the IPX or IP local area network (LAN) and wireless network. The program user can diagnose and resolve any computing issues from the host server, reboot and reconfigure PCs on the network, and even monitor other critical network systems like print servers that are connected to the units. The application can be executed over a dial-in connection to a remote access server. This application enables help desk agents and network support technicians to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on PCs and servers without having to be physically present with these machines.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. phsvc.exe. is used by Proxy Host, If you shut down phsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop phsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Proxy Host, from your system.
