The module pfmodnt.sys is described as PCI/ISA Device Info Service, a driver file from Creative Technology, Ltd. It belongs to application PfModnt that is digitally signed by both Creative Technology and VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer. A device driver is software that controls a particular type of device that is attached to the computer. The device driver converts the more general input/output instructions of the operating system to messages that the device type can understand.
