What is  peer.exe

The peer.exe process is also known as the Grid Service which belongs to the Grid Service and is owned by the FS2YOU or Mercury. This process is known to use ports to be able to connect to a LAN or the Internet. The application has the capability to connect to the Internet and monitor applications. The peer.exe process has no visible window and it is loaded during the Windows boot process. It is not a Windows core file. It has known file sizes on Windows 7/XP that are 4,993,024 bytes which is 51% of all occurrences, 3,362,816 bytes or 840,192 bytes. The process is not digitally signed. This process contains a technical security rating of 65% dangerous, which suggests that the user needs to take cautionary measures when encountering this process as it has the potential to harm the user’s computer system. It is up to the user whether he or she will enable or disable the process, though it is advisable not to terminate the program unless it is causing serious problems within the user’s computer system.
