The opnsqr.exe file is an executable process deployed as the executable program dispatcher of the OpinionSquare application, which is a program reported by many users as a malicious application that is integrated with spyware-like functionalities. The opnsqr.exe process may automatically run during system startup because of certan keys and entries it has been reported to be capable of creating and injecting into the Windows System Registry, which is done upon its penetration into the system. The opnsqr.exe process continues to operate in the background during system runtime, as stated by some users, in order to collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) stored in the system and Internet browsing data from the default Web browser. The data gathered by the opnsqr.exe process may then be transmitted to predesignated Web servers, which are managed by the authors of the opnsqr.exe process, as claimed by a few user reports.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. opnsqr.exe. is used by OpinionSquare, If you shut down opnsqr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop opnsqr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is OpinionSquare, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
