The file op_mon.exe is known as the Output User Interface for the software Agnitum Outpost from Agnitum. Agnitum is a software company from Russia that is known for personal firewall and Internet security products. The software Agnitum Outpost has three variants, which are the Agnitum Outpost Pro Antivirus, Agnitum Outpost Pro Firewall, and Agnitum OutPost Pro Security suite. The Antivirus application contains anti-malware for all-round malware protection, a proactive protection module to block unknown and zero-day threats, and fast decision making in security issues. A system and application guard that keeps OS and installed software protected, with self-protection technology to maintain continuity of protection provides added security. The Firewall protection is inclusive of a two-way firewall for secure network connections, Web control with fast Web content filtering to protect the PC from threats coming from the Web. The Security suite combines the protection from the antivirus, antispyware, and firewall.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. op_mon.exe. is used by Agnitum Outpost, If you shut down op_mon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop op_mon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Agnitum Outpost, from your system.
