What is  nwlnkfwd.sys

The module nwinkfwd.sys, known as NWLINK2 Forwarder Driver belongs to the software IPX Traffic Forwarder Driver by Microsoft. The IPX Traffic Forwarder Driver service is a kernel driver in Windows XP Service and Windows Vista. The IPX offers an option for service providers for an IP based traffic of network-to-network interface rather than using the Internet. The IPX Traffic Forwarder Driver contains the files that support this functionality in the computer. For example, a mobile operator can communicates with the computer using IPX rather than the Internet. The IPX telecommunications interconnection is supported by the executable file in the module nwinkfwd.sys, which will load the DLL files necessary to support the connection. Since the kernel driver executes in the kernel mode, it means the driver must be stable to be able to switch virtual memory contexts between processes. When a system is in the kernel mode, it is assumed that the action that will be executed is a secure process, so the kernel driver can execute any instruction and reference any memory addresses.
