The process nbexec.exe is an executable program in the application NewNetBeansLauncher for Windows. The four processes that appear when running the application Netbeans for Windows might be confusing to users. These processes are Netbeans.exe/nb.exe, java.exe, and two instances of nbexec.exe. Terminating the process while the IDE is still running can affect the functionality of the application. The launcher program is an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing primarily for Java, but other languages like HTML5, PHP, and C/C++ are also supported. Applications are developed in the NetBeans platform by using a set of modular software components or modules. The framework used is reusable, which simplifies the development of Java Swing desktop applications. It offers reusable services that are common to desktop applications, so developers can focus on the logic specific to their application. Third party developers can extend the applications developed on the Netbeans platform.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nbexec.exe. is used by NetBeans, If you shut down nbexec.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nbexec.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NetBeans, from your system.
