What is  naviagent.exe

The process naviagent.exe belongs to the file NAVI Agent that is part of the application VeriSign Software Update Agent from VeriSign Inc. The process is used to provide functionality for Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) in most common Windows applications. IDN is an Internet domain name that contains at least one label that is displayed in a software application, in a language-specific script or alphabet. This process relates to the application Software Development Kit (SDK) that provides application developers with general purpose libraries that implement the latest IDNs. SDK supports Domain Registrars in the process of normalizing and encoding data for DNS registration. Tools are provided for client or server applications that would require conversion from one encoding to another. Implementation of the IDN registration for the top level domains (TLDs) .net, .com, .tv, and .cc follows the specifications set forth by the Internet Engineering Task Force in various RFC documents.
