The msgrdvmn.exe process is an executable program file that is implemented into the Windows Live Messenger Device Manager software, which is a Windows program classified as an add-on application for the Windows Live Messenger IM (Instant Messaging) tool. The msgrdvmn.exe process is specifically deployed as the EXE application dispatcher file of the Windows Live Messenger Device Manager software, which means users can load this program unto the system by activating the msgrdvmn.exe file. The Windows Live Messenger Device Manager software is bundled with a set of features for assisting Windows Live Messenger-enabled devices, such as Web cameras, microphones, headsets and speaker systems, in correctly integrating its embedded functionalities into the Windows Live Messenger program and the Windows-based system. The msgrdvmn.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Windows Live Messenger Device Manager software, which also means the msgrdvmn.exe process is included as one of the component files and libraries bundled into the installer distribution packages of the Windows Live Messenger Device Manager program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msgrdvmn.exe. is used by Windows Live Messenger Device Manager and Windows Live Messenger, If you shut down msgrdvmn.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msgrdvmn.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Windows Live Messenger Device Manager and Windows Live Messenger, from your system.
