The mscams32.exe process is an executable file that is known by the name Camera Service, which is a part of Microsoft LifeCam, a product created by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft LifeCam is basically a webcam, that come in different models with features, which include microphone, and Windows Live Messenger with Windows Live Call button. This program works if the computer is connected to the Internet. The most important of all is if the mscams32.exe file is presently and actively running in the background. This file enables and launches the software LifeCam to work. Without it, the program is not going to work. Whenever the software LifeCam is installed on a computer, the mscams32.exe file, which is bundled as a component, is also downloaded, and stores itself in C:\Program Files folder. A user has to keep the file process stored in there so everytime he or she needs to use LifeCam, it is going to fully work.
