Called as mIRC as its service name, the process mirc.exe is an instance of an executable or EXE file, and is a part of the program mIRC, which is developed by mIRC Co. mIRC is basically an Internet Relay Chat client or IRC application that is intended to enable computers users to communicate and chat from other individuals who use the same program. This kind of software product has both new and old versions, and each of these is exclusively designed for certain Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. For the latest version of the program mIRC, which is mIRC version 7.29, it is made available for Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, while the old version of it is for Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, and Windows 95. So, the component mirc.exe is considered to be an essential part of the program that enables it to work.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mirc.exe. is used by mIRC , If you shut down mirc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
