The mfindexer.exe process is an executable application file that is used by the CorelDraw software, which is a Windows program classified as an image editing and development tool that was designed with a set of features for creating digital images, charts, tables and other visual elements or objects that can be embedded into digital presentations among other documents and media materials. The mfindexer.exe process is specifically deployed as an EXE resource component of certain modules that are embedded in the CorelDraw software for implementing its media file and folder indexing functionalities into the Windows-based system. The mfindexer.exe process is bundled into the installer distribution packages of the CorelDraw program, which also means the mfindexer.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the CorelDraw application. The mfindexer.exe file works with other EXE program files, particular executable system processes, certain DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, some SYS driver utilities and specific background process items among other resource files and libraries that are used by the CorelDraw software to perform its embedded functions as requested by the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mfindexer.exe. is used by CorelDraw, If you shut down mfindexer.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mfindexer.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CorelDraw, from your system.
