The process mercury.exe is associated with the product Gerber Server Mailbox and belongs to the Mercury/32 Core Processing Module. The Mercury/32 Core Processing module is an application that is found in the Mercury Mail Transport System. This process is not a Windows system and has no visible window. It functions by listening or sending data on open ports to a LAN (local Area Network) or to the Internet. It is also capable of recording inputs. The Mail Transport System is an email server that can be installed on client machines, making Exchange servers or a dedicated server unnecessary. This application has two versions - the Win-32 based version and the Novell NetWare-based version. It is the Win-32 version that is referred to as the Mercury/32. Mercury/32 has been organized into two modules called the Mercury Core Module and the Mercury Protocol Module. To stop mercury.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Mercury Mail Transport System, from your system.
