MemCheck.Service, also known as SystemSuite Virus Scanner MemCheck or Virus Scanner Memory Check, is the service name of the process called memcheck.exe, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the program Acer Empowering Technology, or Acer ePerformance Management, or Fix-It Utilities versions 8 Professional and 7 Professional, or VCOM SystemSuite Professional version 6, or SystemSuite version 7 Professional, or YPIC – Motorbike, or VCOM SystemSuite version 5, or VCOM Fix-It Utilities version 5, which is developed by Acer, or Avanquest Publishing USA, or V Communications, or Avanquest Software USA ,or Avanquest North America. Acer Empowering Technology is basically a part of the software ePerformance Management. When the software is successfully installed onto the computer, memcheck.exe is added as well on the system, where it is registered into a Windows registry, and store on a folder location. This process has a digital signature from Avanquest - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer, and must not be terminated, but rather run in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. memcheck.exe. is used by Acer Empowering Technology or Acer ePerformance Management, If you shut down memcheck.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop memcheck.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer Empowering Technology or Acer ePerformance Management, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Acer Empowering Technology or Acer ePerformance Management, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
