The mcsysmon.exe process is an executable component file of the McAfee Virtual Technician application, which is a system maintenance and optimization tool. The mcsysmon.exe process is particularly deployed into the McAfee Virtual Technician as the McAfee SystemGuards Service module, which is an applet that facilitates the monitoring and safeguarding of the system during application runtime, and the McAfee SystemGuards Service module implements its associated integrated features while actively running in the background of the system.
