The mcsvhost.exe process is also known as the SiteAdvisor which was created by the McAfee Inc. The SiteAdvisor is a program that reports and utilizes the safety of the websites by doing such things like crawling the web and testing the sites whether there is a presence of spam and malware. The SiteAdvisors functions can be accessible through either submitting a URL to the respective website or through Browser Plugin. SiteAdvisor is only capable of rating websites based on the probable risk of spam or malware. The McAfee SiteAdvisor is a software that offers free browser plug-in which supplies a simple website’s safety ratings and a Secure Search box in order for the user to be able to search, shop and surf safely on the Internet. Small site rating icons are available upon the installation of the SiteAdvisor software on the browser’s search results. A browser button and an optional search box are also available upon the installation of the SiteAdvisor.
