What is  matcli.exe

The matcli.exe process is an executable program file that is used by the AOL Broadband Check-Up software, the Blueyonder Instant Support application and the HP Instant Support program among other client software utilities that are provided to subscribers of ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and telecommunication companies, particularly those that integrate Motive Communications technologies into their services, support programs and products. The matcli.exe process is specifically deployed as the Motive Assistant Command Line Interface module, which is an applet built into these ISP management and monitoring tools, and this module is also tasked to assist (via its embedded command line protocols) in the implementation of ISP support access functionalities into the Windows-based system. The matcli.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these ISP tools and ISP support service access utilities, which also means the matcli.exe process is bundled into the installer distribution packages of these applications and add-on modules.
