What is  mail.exe

The process mail.exe is a utility that can be used to manage email accounts, and can be classified as an email client, mail user agent (MUA), or email reader. This application enables users to create an email account, enable or disable the email server, send automatic email messages, or to modify email account settings, for example the addition of antivirus protection and setting mailbox quotas. In addition to these basic functions, a user can employ other features like setting the mailbox password, switching the options to redirect mail, and enabling an email group. The functionalities of this application are similar to that of the basic functions of other desktop email clients that send, create, receive, or organize electronic mails. Command shortcut keys are provided in the application menu to enable its users to choose the specific action that they want to execute and match it with a single key command. The Webmail software is another email client that is the online counterpart of the desktop version.
